Quick Disconnect Heat Sets

Heat set inserts for adding metal QD mounts to your prints they are made out of 6061 Aluminum.

Feel free to mess with these, this is just a recommended starting point that I managed to break two QD mounts in an ABS print granted your results may vary.

Installation recommendations: They can be installed with a soldering iron that has a body of 10mm or larger you probably won’t be using the tip but you will want to set/file the tip shorter than the mount length I wouldn’t recommend removing the tip as it makes it harder to align and easier to slip off and stab something with the iron. Due to the size this will take about a minute to get installed.
